Jim grew up at Russell House in Sutton Coldfield and many of the films are taken there, at the local tennis and golf clubs, and in the garden. There is later footage of the garden of his first marital home at Dorridge
Sailing films are mainly Chichester Harbour
Holidays were mainly Cornwall. Shorter trips were to the Richardson family base at Wissington/Wiston and surrounding parts of Essex.
Later family films are of Surrey (Jim and Mary briefly ran a shop and post office at Beare Green near Dorking) and Sussex, notably Tickners Barn, the home that Jim and Mary created (where Jim spent the last 35 years of his life)
